Dashain 'The biggest animal sacrificing fest in Nepal'
Nepal is a culturally reach mountain country in south Asia. It says in Nepal people celebrate more festival then the day of year. A developing country has more than 80 percentages of Hindus and 13 parentage of Buddhist population. They believe many gods and goddess during the hole year and life's. Every festival they celebrate always zeal and most joyful ways. Dashain celebrate till 15 days in between summer and winter End of September till End of November. Depend on their own national calendar. Every year the dates and month can be change. Day 1st, 7th, 8th, 9th and day 10 are most important. Day 1 is following ritual process and to pray the god then Ghatasthapana ' by worshipping goddess of nava durga kali till day tenth. Day 7 is called Phulpati, the day of advance dashain begin and welcoming god and goddess. Ghatasthapana is observed by people performing puja and setting up ghata, or pot, in which they sow seeds of barley, wheat, corn and rice, at homes and temples as per the Vedic tradition.
The seedlings grow into jamara which is offered along with tika on the 10th day which is observed as Vijaya Dashami, also called Tika, the main day of the Dashain festival. According to the Samiti, following the Ghatasthapana, the most suitable time for replacing national flags hoisted in government offices is 11:55 am Similarly, this year’s Pachali Bhairav Jatra will be celebrated .The auspicious time for the procession of goddess Tulja Bhavani has been set at 7:25 am, and the deity will be put in rest mode at 8:43 am the same day when Fulpati is observed. On this very day, Fulpati will be brought to Dashain Ghar at Hanumandhoka.
Likewise, Next day 8 will mark Mahaashtami along with Kalratri puja the same night. Mahanavami and Vijaya Dashami will be celebrated on same day this year, for which the auspicious time is 10:45 am. The Samiti has suggested all concerned to perform Mahanavami rituals before proceeding to Vijaya Dashami.
During the Maha astami and kala ratri night and day in Nepal, more then million animal were killed and offer that blood for god/goddess Kali. Mahalaki, bhadrakali and Mahakala. After that, that meat eaten by family as a holy food and prasad by family.
According to popular Hindu myth, Goddess Durga had killed demon Mahishasur on Mahanavami day and Vijaya Dashami symbolises the victory of truth over evil.
