The Kailash Yatra will be more expensive this year, difficult and risk to compare the normal route via Kodari - Saga Route. The Kailash Tour Operator Association says this year only very  less yatri are able to go Kailash. Kailash Yatri have to flight Lhasa from Kathmandu is already expensive and they have not allowed to stay in Lhasa for acclimatization. Via west Nepal t they need to fly by Helicopter to Hilsa via Simikot is also need to take most expensive flight with high risk.  They need to fly from 1300m to 3600m which is already risk.  Before 15km from Lhasa there are small villages, there they need to spend night in low quality accommodation which is not good for high altitude. If they got altitude problem there are no way to send hospital . Because  Tibetan Tourism Board don't want to enter Kailash Yatri in Lhasa.

Fact about Kailash Yatra from Lhasa
This year Kailash Yatri will have to eat in local restaurant food during the kailash yatra which is also not comfortable. Most of yatri are Vegetarian and in Tibet very difficult to prepare all veg. and Indian relatively food, Says member of Kailash Tour Operator.  Since last years all the Yatri leads by Nepalese Support team which was really comfortable for Yatri.   The Drive route will be Lhasa Airport arrival and drive  to 15km. before the Lhasa city, Rongpo, Lhatse, Saga, Tsu Gompa - Mansarovar Tal, Darchen, Dherpu, Zutulpu, Saga, Lhatse via Yarlung Tsampo ' Brahmaputra River', Rongpo and Fly Back to Kathmandu. It mean They need to drive long, not reliable food service and support team because of expensive flight.

Till now the major route for Kailash Kodari friendship highway is closed after the grand Earthquake Hits. They cannot drive to Tibet. It also says when the road open than the normal route can be also open for the Kailash tour.

Kailash Yatra By Helicopter via Simikot-Hilsa
The Next route also open same time via West Nepal Simikot -Hilsa taking Nepal Domestic Flight from Pokhara or Nepaljung/Surkhet. Those yatri who have short time and not able to fly Lhasa they can use this route by Flight and Helicopter Charter service. The route is also not comfortable because of the monsoon and bad weather, long domestic flight and high altitude sickness .  Simikot Hilsa Kailash yatra more expensive than Via Lhasa . The helicopter cost are more expensive.  But, if yatri take this route there are possibilities to use Nepalese experience support team and native food during the kailash kora. The Kailash tours by Helicopter route also not totally by Helicopter. Yatri flight to Simikot 3000m, than take heli charter to Hilsa 3600m and cross the Tibetan Border, Drive to Purang, Rakesh Tal, Mansaroval Tal, Darchen, Dolmala Pass kailash Parikarma than drive back to Hilsa and Fly to Pokhara or Nepaljung/Surkhet by Flight. It is also one of complicate and more riskable tours. If bad weather they are not able to fly and need to wait more days in Hilsa/Simikot and Pokhara . In Simikot and Hilsa only basic Guest House/Hotels  for small group accommodation.

RISK form Lhasa to Kailash via Trans Himalayan
The Main risk is high altitude sickness and not time for rest acclimatization in High altitude area. During the Kailash yatra you Yatri need to cross many more high passes in Tibet and Nepal over than 5000 meters and stay always over 3500 meters during in Tibet. In past record from Kodari one of safe and easy way to Kailash Mansarovar Tour they spend one day as a rest in Nylam which was 3800m. About 20% of Kailash Yatri are getting every time altitude sickness and not able to do whole Kailash Yatra Parikarma. During the Kailash Parikarma they need to cross 5630m. Pass which is high risk. This 52km Holy Circuit is most important for Hindus and Buddhist Religion.

' DO AND DIE' for Nepalese Kailash Tour Operator this Year.
Kailash Yatra begin after April till October. Both months are high season. Till September there are more Indian Pilgrimage to the Kailash because of weather condition. After Hit of Earthquake in Nepal the tourism is closed almost shutdown, block the road to Tibet. Still this Friendship highway to Nylam closed. There are no change to go Kailash in this condition. After few month they open form Lhasa by flight  but only few yatri got travel permission to visit the Kailash and it was almost close for Indian Yatri. Now from 13th August they going to open for all Indian yatri those who want to go kailash yatra from Lhasa and via Simikot Hilsa by Flight andHelicopter.  This is already  to late for Indian Yatri because of Weather.  Also there are only limit flight to Lhasa and only small flight operation to Simikot. Operator saying it will be big trafficking  for the flight and it going more expensive than normal. Even some of operator will positive to organize Holy Kailash Mansarovar Yatra this year for Indian Nation.  Because They have no any Chance and they are not able to increase the cost. Working with Very low profit. Remember Kailash Yatra is always one of most competitive destination where always big competition between tour operator.  Even they are expecting to run some tours to Kailash this year.
