Island peak is most popular climbing peak 6,189m/20,305ft located in Khumbu mount Everest region Nepal. There are some fact about island peak, that many climber and people dont know. This is the blog post explain some of the 7 fact of this island peak.

Fact 1: Island peak is a trek trip or climbing trip ?
Island peak is 6189m climbing peak on the south west slope of Mt. Lhotse and above the Chukung village in Khumbu region insight the Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal. Island peak title name is Imja Tse in local Sherpa Language. The snowy peak was named by Eric Shiptons  as Island Peak in 1951 AD since it appears as an island in a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche village. Island peak first attempt was 1956 AD. by Swiss climbing team as a training to Mount Everest and Mt. Lhotse Expedition.
