Kodari Border is only the reliable route for Trading, Tourism and economically benefits for both Tibetan/Chinese and Nepal Business. Most of Chinese product and Nepalese product they used that route for business and it is one of the mail custom office for Nepal to collect the government tax.

After the earthquake, the border is close till now. The alternative route from North of Kathmandu via Langtang National Park (Kerun – Rasuwa Gadhi) is already open for trade. It is a newly open trade route between Tibet and Nepal. After the Indian Border Shield, Chinese government has supply some petroleum helps through this trading route. Kerung is a remote mountain valley in North Himalayan Border; you can reach with in 170km 7 to 8 hours, two lane bustling drive along the Bhoti Koshi river bank via Trishuli, Nuwakto and Rasuwa.

The road stricture designed for only the light carry transport and busses, not for heavy duty drive. It goes much more uphill and downhill via National Park and during the monsoon, always the road blocked by grand landslide. Even, this year after earthquake, via this route many trucks and heavy loads use that route and import many things from Tibet China.
